I use population genetics approachs to investigate the evolution of dominance in locus encoding for wing colour patterns in the polymorphic species Heliconius numata. Combining theoretical modelling and genetic analyses, I aim at quantifying the selective pressures exerted on intermediate phenotypes, thus shaping the evolution of phenotypes.
