I started a 5 year NERC fellowship in Sheffield in January 2014 working on the genes underlying iridescent colour in Heliconius. Previously I was a post-doc in the Jiggins lab for 6 years, working on the genes underlying colour pattern switches in Heliconius and more broadly on patterns of gene flow and divergence across the Heliconius melpomene/cydno group. Before this I was working on genes controlling plumage colour in birds and the effects of sexual selection on their evolution.
